Frequently asked questions
How do off-plan payment plans work in Dubai?
You pay the price in stages set by the developer: a down payment, instalments tied to dates or construction milestones, and a final payment at handover, sometimes with part paid after handover. The calculator turns the percentages into an AED schedule.
What is a post-handover payment plan?
A plan where part of the price is paid in instalments after you receive the keys, which can let rent help cover the remaining payments. Check the total price, as it can be higher than on a plan paid by handover.
What extra costs come with an off-plan purchase?
The 4% Oqood registration with the Dubai Land Department and a developer admin fee, plus mortgage costs if you finance the handover payment. On a developer-direct launch the buyer normally pays no agent fee.
What happens if construction is delayed?
Milestone-linked instalments move with construction, but date-linked ones do not. Read what triggers each payment and what the sales agreement says about delays before you sign.
