Privacy Notice

This site is run by Jamal Akim in Dubai. This notice explains, in plain language, what happens to information when you use jamalakim.com.

When you contact me

If you message me on WhatsApp, call, or email hello@jamalakim.com or +971 58 557 0911, I receive what you send and use it to reply. The consultation "Email me" button opens your own email app with a pre-filled message. The enquiry form, the newsletter sign-up and the report request send what you type (your name, email, any phone number and message, plus the page you were on) to my website's server. It is saved in a private database and emailed to me, so that I can reply. A call booking sends the same details plus the time you chose.

With every enquiry or booking I also record how you found the site, so I know which pages and channels help people: your IP address and the approximate location it points to (city and country), your browser type, the page you sent it from, the first page you landed on and the site that sent you there (for example Google, ChatGPT or LinkedIn), any campaign tags in the link, and the pages you read during that visit. To do this, your browser keeps a small note of your first landing page for 90 days and of the pages read in the current visit, in its own storage on your device; nothing is sent until you submit a form. This is kept with your enquiry for as long as I need it to follow up and to keep business records, and you can ask me to delete it at any time.

If you ask about a property, I may use the details you share (budget, timeframe, objective) to suggest options and follow up. I do not sell your details. I may share them with a developer, lender or other professional only when it is needed to answer your request and you have asked me to.

Analytics and cookies

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages and buttons are used (for example, which property or consultation button was clicked). It records usage information such as pages viewed, device type and approximate location, and sets cookies to do so. It does not record the content of messages you send me.

I may later add advertising measurement tools (Meta Pixel or LinkedIn Insight Tag). If I do, this notice will be updated first.

Third-party services on this site

Google Fonts loads the typefaces. Google receives your IP address when your browser requests them.
Maps use OpenFreeMap vector tiles with OpenStreetMap data. Your browser contacts those services to draw the map.
WhatsApp, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube links take you to those services, which have their own policies.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use a tracking-protection extension, and the site will still work. You can ask me to correct or delete anything you have sent me by emailing hello@jamalakim.com.
